First iPhone Synth Touching Down Soon
NoiseIO’s iPhone Synth is the first officail synth for the Apple iPhone. iPhone Synth uses the accelerometer within the iPhone to control the synths filters. The iPhone Synth also ships with a nice step sequencer that allows you to change oscillator shapes per step in the sequence. Propellerhead Rebirth fans will also appreciate the application as it is very similar in the functionality offered in that classic software package. The only current drawback is that the iPhone Synth is limited to 3 octaves.
The iPhone Synth uses ESFM technology for its syntheseis. “ESFM technology - Enhanced Subspace Frequency Modulation. It’s an improved version of FM which has been developed especially for iPhone, the architecture has been redesigned to allow maximum user-friendly approach to creating new sounds.â€
It would be cool if we see DAW’s and other virtual instruments showing up on the iPhone. They would be perfect for knocking out that beat in your head during your morning commute.
iPhone Synth will be released August 25th to the iPhone store for $6.99. What a bargain!

First Deus Ex 3 Design Posted by Lead Designer
Fans of the Deus Ex franchise were delighted yesterday when lead designer Thierry Doizon posted the first concept screen from the forthcoming game on his DeviantArt site. The initial screen looks to be a sophisticated laboratory with workstations for a number of researchers and scientists.
Thierry Doizon also commented “This is one of the first Artwork of Deus Ex III being revealed (sorry in French). I can’t say a lot about it (or I’ll die) except that the level artists have done an incredible job so far and it looks better than the painting. The game is on the right track and it’ll be a great experience… can’t even wait to play it.”
We can’t wait to play it either. While I (HeavyHitter) didn’t enjoy the last installment that much - I’m positive its shortcomings will be resolved in this new installment. Can’t wait!

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Trailer
In case you haven’t seen the commercials or possibly thought the new movie was a game - a new Star Wars movie is being released to theaters this week. The twist with this new film, is that its a fully animated movie much like Dreamwork’s or Pixar’s past animated works. With the release of this new Star Wars movie comes another marketing sweep right off the heals of George Lucas and Lucasfilm’s last works, Indiana Jones: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Hopefully this movie has had a lot of time and work put into it otherwise it could damage the already litely-tarnished Star Wars brand. Are fans ready to buy in one more time? Only the box office will tell.

In 12 years the U.S. Military will be taken over by Robots
According to AllVoices.com the U.S. Military seeks to increase its robotic force by 30%Â by the year 2020. Of course how safe will these robots be in the field you might ask? Bill Smart, a researcher in the program was quoted as saying “It’s a chain of command thing. You don’t want to give autonomy to a weapons delivery system. You don’t want the robot to make the wrong decision.”
Lets just hope that the U.S. Military fares better than hollywoods failures with ED 209. If you would like to read more about our future super soldiers - check out the AllVoices breaking article.

The campaign video which recieved many views and much controversy can be found here at YouTube.
